Data Insight User Guides
What is DDR?
DDR is a purpose-built SAP data management platform that allows authorised users to replicate selected business data from a source SAP system into a target SAP system.
Instead of copying an entire production system, DDR enables teams to select specific data by business object, company code, plant, date range, module, or other business filters.
Key Capabilities
Selective SAP data replication, business object copying, time slicing, enterprise slicing, dependency handling, audit logging, and monitoring.
Typical Use Cases
QA refresh, test data preparation, training systems, SAP migration testing, client refresh support, and selective replication.
Who Uses DDR?
SAP Basis teams, functional consultants, test managers, data migration teams, security teams, and project delivery teams.
How DDR Helps Your Organisation
DDR gives organisations greater control over SAP data refresh activities. It helps teams create realistic test datasets, support release cycles, reduce system downtime, and improve compliance by limiting the amount of sensitive production data moved into non-production environments.
When used with Dynamic Data Masking, DDR can also support secure data scrambling so that personal, financial, and commercially sensitive information is protected before it is used for testing or training.
